Ralph Holguin owns RMD Garage in Long Beach, California, and he is the mastermind behind this fabulous show-stopping custom 1958 Impala.
Ralph Holguin with his 1958 Impala, Ralph Holguin emigrated from Mexico when he was 5-years-old and grew up poor. He dropped out of high school and hustled washing cars to make a buck. Ralph now owns one of the hottest shops on the West Coast. While he never knows what’s going to roll into his garage on any given day, he does know that he’ll be able to push the boundaries and create incredible art.
It’s hard to miss this ’58 Impala dubbed “Ebony” with its triple black deep paint job, plus an array of chrome and raceline wheels. In the trunk, the Impala even includes full custom red leather vintage style suitcase to match the interior.
The interior features include Ford Thunderbird front seats, custom smoked glass, electric windows, power locks and all the things that you expect in a modern car, but with the style of the classic.
The paint and bodywork were all done by the team at RMD Garage. This ride sports “Classico” 20-inch custom wheels in the front and 22-inch in the rear, all wrapped in Toyo tires.
Pop the hood of this bad full-size flyer to find some serious power from an LS3 500 Hp Chevy engine and backed by a 4L70E transmission. Just about everything under the hood has been painted a subdued satin black, including the block and heads, the fabricated low-profile intake manifold and brake booster.
Other upgrades include new coilovers, disk brakes, and air ride suspension kit. Have you seen another Impala that looks like this?
If you like customs, you will love this Chevy!
