Over the past few years, BMW has introduced several Vision concept vehicles designed to show the future of design and technology of the Bavarian brand (so BMW Vision iNEXT is designed to announce the future of Autonomous Driving and Electric Mobility).
The latest in a series of “Vision” study vehicles is presented today at the event #NextGen 2019 in BMW Welt in Munich, the BMW Vision M NEXT.
BMW states that Vision M NEXT demonstrates how this brand’s modern sports model can look like, and how advanced automotive technology can increase driving pleasure.
The design concept also honors the former sports model M1, but unlike the legendary elite, this Vision M NEXT has an electrically powered drive system.
More precisely, Vision M NEXT is a plug-in hybrid vehicle that combines four-cylinder turbo petrol and electric-engine with a total of 600 horsepower (441 kilowatts)
The car from 0 to 62 mph accelerates for exactly 3 seconds and can reach up to 300 km / h (186 mph), an available “BOOST+” function adds extra oomph at the push of a button. All the while, the M Next Concept still manages up to 62 miles (100 kilometers) of pure electric driving.
Vision M NEXT attracts attention and a two-color exterior (a combination of Cast Silver metallic and Thrilling Orange colors), wheels in different colors, the front rims wear a traditional silver-and-black two-tone finish, while the rear sets use the same spoke design, but now with Thrilling Orange inserts to match the body, Gullwing doors as well as minimalist but modern interior with head-up display and sports seats.
